Rachel Weiner, MD

Dr. Rachel Weiner

I was born in North Carolina, where I also completed my medical training. I live with my partner and our many houseplants.

About my practice: I was attracted to medicine because it allowed me to continue to learn science, which I loved, while working directly with people and serving my community. I believe in a holistic approach to health. I want to listen to my patients, learn what their needs are, and help support them in finding ways to heal and stay healthy. Practicing family medicine, I see a wide variety of patients, but I have a special interest in children's, teen, and women's health; LGBTQ care; maternity care; and HIV management. I enjoy the opportunity to join patients on a journey to being healthier and happier. I love hearing stories and sharing in both joyful and difficult moments.

How I thrive: I enjoy being outdoors in any way possible - whether it's hiking in the mountains, walking through the city, or canoeing across Lake Washington. I try to find small ways to stay active, by walking, running, or doing yoga. I also try to eat a fun and healthy diet and enjoy cooking healthy vegetarian meals. I also think it's important to find time to relax. I love reading a good book and drinking a good cup of coffee.
