Education: Bachelor's degree in human biology, Stanford University, 1988; Doctor of Medicine, Harvard University, 1994; Master of Public Health, University of Washington, 2007

Advanced training: Sea Mar Community Health Center Family Medicine Residency; Providence Hospital Medical Center and University of Washington Affiliated Hospital, Seattle, 1994-97

Certifications: Board-certified in Family Practice

Medical interests: Preventive medicine, obstetrics, family-based care, and outpatient office procedures.

Personal interests: Bicycling, winemaking, hiking, gardening, and spending time with my wife and two children.

Statement: My interests are in preventive medicine and outpatient office procedures. My research and policy focus is in the development of primary care workforce solutions in graduate medical education and health care payment reform.
