Direct Ophthalmoscopic ExamDuring direct ophthalmoscopy, a doctor looks at each of your eyes using a viewing instrument containing a light (ophthalmoscope). The doctor can see the back of your eye with the ophthalmoscope and will look for eye damage or diseases.
