Radon Prevention: Sub-Slab DepressurizationTopic OverviewSub-slab depressurization or sub-slab suction removes air that contains radon from beneath a home or building. The air is vented outside the building by a fan. A pipe is installed through the foundation and into the soil or rocks below the foundation. The air under the building travels through the pipe and is vented outdoors. The air containing radon never enters the home or building.
