Achilles Tendon Injury: Calf Squeeze TestTopic OverviewThe calf squeeze test can identify an Achilles tendon rupture. This test may be done while you are kneeling on a chair with your feet hanging down over the edge of a chair, or lying face down with your feet hanging over the edge of the table, or lying face down with your knee bent up to 90 degrees. While you are in one of these positions, your doctor will squeeze your calf.
