Ligaments of the Knee: Medial (Inside) View

Picture of the medial collateral ligament of the right knee

This side view of the knee shows the medial collateral ligament, one of the four ligaments of the knee. The four knee ligaments connect the upper leg bone (femur) with the large lower leg bone (tibia) and stabilize knee movement. The medial collateral ligament helps stabilize side-to-side movement.
