Special enrollment period: March 10 to May 8, 2020
As of April 1, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBE) has extended the special enrollment period from April 8, 2020 to May 8, 2020 to any qualifying individual or family who does not currently have insurance.
I tried to enroll this year, but didn't qualify. If you tried to enroll before March 10, 2020, and did not qualify for a special enrollment period, you now have the opportunity to use this special qualifying event. Call the Kaiser Permanente sales team at 1-800-474-1079, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I'm enrolling for the first time this year. If you do not currently have insurance and have not already tried to enroll, you will need to select a Kaiser Permanente plan offered through Washington Healthplanfinder. Then call WAHBE with your plan selection at 1-855-923-4633 (TTY: 1-855-627-9604), Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or contact your local broker.
