Senior Zoo Walkers
Senior Zoo Walkers is a unique program to promote fitness and well-being among seniors. Twice a week, a fitness leader takes a group on a morning walk through Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo. The group stretches and warms up before starting the hour-long walk. There is a small fee for each three-month period.
Senior Zoo Walkers is available to all Kaiser Permanente members aged 55 years and older. Senior Zoo Walkers enjoy the zoo, improve their health through regular exercise, and build strong friendships. Most are in their 70s, with ages ranging from 55 to over 90.
For more information and to register, see Senior Zoo Walkers.
Senior Zoo Walkers is operated in partnership with Kaiser Permanente Foundation, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington, and the Woodland Park Zoo.
