Stephen Supoyo, MD
Stephen was born in New York City and attended the University of Rochester, where he majored in molecular genetics. After college, Stephen spent two years in the AmeriCorps as a patient navigator at a healthcare for the homeless program in NYC and at an immigrant resettlement agency in Philadelphia. During medical school at Mt. Sinai, he was involved in a coalition to dismantle racism in healthcare, volunteered for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, and helped increase awareness for universal healthcare. After the ACA expansion of Medicaid in NY, Stephen worked as a community medicine intern to help increase local health insurance enrollment. Stephen is passionate about underserved medicine, social justice and political activism. Outside of medicine Stephen enjoys hiking the outdoors, traveling, board games, and discussing politics.
