Accessing the Site using another person's UserID is prohibited. Unauthorized access to the personal health information of another, or disclosure of another's personal health information to any other person, may be a violation of federal or state law, and will be grounds for immediate suspension of your access to the Site.
Restrictions: You agree not to submit any content to the Site that (a) infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights of any third parties, including their rights of privacy and publicity, (b) contains material that is obscene, illegal, threatening, or defamatory, or (c) contains software viruses, commercial solicitations, political campaigning, or any other form of "spam." You agree not to "frame," resell access to, or distribute any portion of the Site, or to suggest any affiliation between you and us without our separate written permission. Further, you agree not to use or permit the use of any robot, spider, data gathering, scraping or extraction tool or similar mechanism to access or attempt to view or obtain data from the Site, or to interfere or attempt to interfere with the Site or any other user's access to the Site. You must be at least 18 years old and a Kaiser Permanente member located in the State of Washington to use the Online Visit (E-Visit) Service. Online Visit (E-Visit) Services are not available for Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage members at this time. Online Visit (E-Visit) Services are covered by most Kaiser Permanente medical benefit plans. Please review your benefits booklet or contact the Kaiser Permanente Member Services at 1-888-901-4636 for coverage information. Members on a qualified HSA plan may be required to pay a deductible for Online Visit (E-Visit) Services. If Online Visit (E-Visit) Services are not covered by your medical benefit plan, your use of the Online Visit (E-Visit) Service constitutes your agreement to pay for the service.
The Online Visit (E-Visit) Service is available every day, year round. To use the Online Visit (E-Visit) Service, you will be required to complete a questionnaire that will ask for detailed medical information necessary to diagnose and treat your condition. Within one day after you submit your completed questionnaire, a Kaiser Permanente provider will communicate with you via secure messaging on the Kaiser Permanente secure member website concerning your treatment plan. The Online Visit (E-Visit) Service utilizes information about your condition that is provided by you. Therefore, it is very important that you provide complete and accurate information and that you do not omit any relevant information. Kaiser Permanente will not be responsible for Online Visit (E-Visit) Services provided based on inaccurate, false or incomplete information provided by you. By using the Online Visit (E-Visit) Service you consent to treatment by Kaiser Permanente via the Online Visit (E-Visit) Service.
Care Chat: Kaiser Permanente' s Care Chat service is a secure patient-to-healthcare provider text-based messaging service that allows Kaiser Permanente members and Molina members who are paneled with Kaiser Permanente providers to communicate with and receive certain medical services from Kaiser Permanente providers in real time. Care Chat providers are not able to provide care for all conditions and you may need to schedule an in-person appointment with a provider. By using the Care Chat Service you consent to treatment by Kaiser Permanente via the Care Chat Service.
Use by children: We do not knowingly allow individuals under the age of 13 to submit personally identifiable information to our Site.
You are responsible for security of your account: You are responsible for all use of the Site that occurs under your user account. Since your secure member site or Mobile Application account can be used to access your personal health information, you should take precautions to prevent the disclosure of your password. No Kaiser Permanente personnel will ask for your password in corresponding with you, and you should not share your password with anyone else, even someone who claims to represent us.
Avoid writing down your password or storing it near your computer. If you must commit it to writing, keep it in a secure location away from your computer. We recommend that you change your password on a regular basis. If you suspect that someone else knows your password, change your password immediately. It is your responsibility, once you have accessed your personal health information, not to share that access, or any electronic or written versions of your personal health information, with unauthorized persons. This includes leaving your computer or smartphone unattended while signed on to the Site, and leaving printed or electronic copies in unsecured areas.
If you provide your UserID and password to any person or entity, you understand that you are authorizing Kaiser Permanente to disclose any and all information about you that is accessible via the Site, including the Medical Record Link, to the person or entity to whom or to which you provided your UserID and password, and any other party to whom your UserID and password may subsequently be provided by such person or entity, and you agree to indemnify and hold Kaiser Permanente harmless from and against any claims or liabilities that may be brought against Kaiser Permanente arising out of such disclosure.
Additional policies and terms: Your use of the Site is subject to our other terms, conditions, disclaimers, and policies posted on the Site from time to time ("Policies").
